About
Mr John Lynch.
Consultant knee surgeon.

Mr Lynch qualified from University College London and completed higher orthopaedic training on the Wessex rotation, followed by fellowships in complex knee reconstruction in the UK and Australia.
He has been a substantive NHS consultant since 2011 and maintains an entirely knee-focused practice across Bournemouth and Poole. His clinical interests span the spectrum — from sports-related ligament and cartilage injuries in younger patients through to primary and revision knee replacement.
He is an active member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK) and regularly contributes to teaching and training of junior surgeons.

Ethos
Do less, better.
A specialist practice means saying no to what falls outside it. Focusing on a single joint allows every element of care — from imaging protocols to implant selection to rehab plans — to be honed rather than approximated.
I believe patients deserve a clear diagnosis, an honest conversation about alternatives, and — when surgery is the right answer — a plan that anticipates recovery from the day it's booked.
